Future Health Challenge: Building Anticipatory Health Systems through Population SensingThe Future Health Challenge seeks solutions that accelerate the shift from reactive healthcare delivery to anticipatory models of care, improving resilience and outcomes at scale. Specific areas of interest include:
1/Improving population risk forecasting by using digital and data-driven approaches to capture early signals from communities, environments, and frontline health systems;
2/Strengthening technology-enabled disease surveillance and early warning systems, improving the prediction of infectious disease outbreaks, non-communicable disease trends, and emerging health threats;
3/Developing low-tech, proxy, and community-based data solutions, including digitally supported methods that enable sensing and prediction in fragile or underserved settings;
4/Enabling AI-powered decision support for public health and primary care, transforming fragmented and heterogeneous data into interpretable, forward-looking forecasts that support action.

Venture University Investor AcceleratorVC/PE Investment Apprenticeship – Venture University is the world’s leading investor accelerator for individuals looking to break into or advance their career within venture capital, private equity, and angel investing. 

VU’s Investor Accelerator enables individuals to “learn by doing” through a VC/PE Investment Apprenticeship Program, where they gain high quality investment experience by focusing on deal sourcing, due diligence, investment evaluation, participating in weekly Partner Meetings and Investment Committees, making 2-5 investments per quarter, and sharing in the financial upside on the investments made.  

Individuals accepted into the VC/PE Investment Apprenticeship Program, join VU’s investment fund, VU Venture Partners, as an Analyst, Associate, Principal, or Venture Partner (for angels, family offices, and emerging fund managers).  VU invests in seed through growth stage companies across Consumer, Enterprise, Fintech, Healthcare, Frontier, and PropTech.  Initial investments are up to $1M per company, and up to $10M in follow-on rounds.

Additionally, individuals get the opportunity to be mentored and work alongside top performing investors with 45+ yrs of VC experience who’ve invested $1.8B+ in 250+ companies, have achieved over a 4x+ net cash realized return, and were early investors in unicorns such as Beyond Meat, Facebook, Uber, Twitter, Oculus, Wish, Oscar, and more.

To support an individual’s career development, the Investor Accelerator also includes: Career strategy planning, building a deep network within the VC/PE industry, and a core education program consisting of a VC/PE Masterclass and Advanced VC/PE Modules.

Big Idea Ventures AcceleratorThe New Protein Fund invests and accelerates global food companies focused on three related categories given our global investment and operational experience in plant-based meat, seafood, dairy and snacks, cell-based meats, seafood and diary, as well as ecosystem drivers in the form of technologies and ingredients. The program is offered at Braid Theory’s co-working space, Braid Space, at AltaSea at The Port of Los Angeles. To be eligible for the Blue Future Incubator, companies must be ready to grow their businesses and create jobs in the city of Los Angeles.
